This is a FOI request in regards to Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS).
Please can you provide a response to the following questions in relation to SFRS.
What course do firefighters complete for their trauma care/casualty care/first aid as operational firefighters?
Is this done in-house or through an external provider?
What is the cost to the service either for certification costs if done in-house, or if done by an external provider, how much has been paid to them for this service in the last 5 years?
If this training is provided by an external training provider, when is this contract due for renewal/retendering?
If this training is done by an external provider, when was the current contract/provider appointed?

– What course do firefighters complete for their trauma care/casualty care/first aid as operational firefighters? Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) and First Response Emergency Care (Level 3).
– Is this done in-house or through an external provider? These courses are delivered in house as we are a ‘Qualsafe’ approved Training Centre.
– What is the cost to the service either for certification costs if done in-house, or if done by an external provider, how much has been paid to them for this service in the last 5 years? Registration costs to awarding body (Qualsafe) for the last 5 years are listed below-
