At 13:03 on Monday, 4 April, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Kitchen Fire in Queensway, Whitchurch .

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Prees, Wem and Whitchurch.

Fire involving dishwasher in kitchen of domestic property. 2 breathing apparatus and 1 hose reel jet in use to extinguish fire. Positive pressure ventilation system in use to assist with clearing smoke from property.

Kitchen fire involving a build up of fat from an oven. Fire was found to be out upon arrival. 1 male casualty suffering slight smoke inhalation given oxygen therapy by Fire Service personnel.

Fire involving kitchen units, two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, one covering jet and thermal image camera in use Fire now extinguished, crews cutting away and damping down, to enable fire investigation
