At 15:08 on Friday, 3 May, 2019, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Barn Fire in Wem.

4 fire appliances were mobilised from Baschurch, Newport, Oswestry, Prees, Shrewsbury, Tweedale and Wem.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet

Fire involving baled hay located in agricultural building 20m x 40m. 4 breathing apparatus and 3 hose reel jets have been used to extinguish the fire.

2 fire appliances including the Light Pumping Unit were mobilised from Church Stretton and Craven Arms. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Reports of agricultural barn on fire involving quantities of hay and straw. Fire crews used 2 hose reel jets, 4 breathing apparatus and 1 covering jet to extinguish fire

At 23:11 on Tuesday, 2 April, 2019, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Barn Fire in Bridgnorth.

4 fire appliances including the Heavy Pumping Unit and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Bridgnorth and Craven Arms. Operations and Fire Investigation officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Beaters
• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet
• Shovels/Forks/Brooms

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police.

Approx 70 tonnes of hay on fire. Crews spent worked through the night turning over using drag rakes and making good progress

7 fire appliances including the Heavy Pumping Unit and the Water Carrier were mobilised. Operations and Safety officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Covering jet
• Hosereel jet

Fire involving one agricultural building measuring 10 metres by 5 metres, containing hay bales. Crews using two hose reel jets to extinguish.

At 23:29 on Tuesday, 18 December, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Barn Fire in Oswestry.

3 fire appliances including the Light Pumping Unit and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Baschurch, Ellesmere, Oswestry and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Main jet
• Open water supply
• Thermal imaging camera

Also at the scene of the incident were: the British Red Cross Fire and Emergency Support Service (FESS) .

Fire involving one agricultural barn containing a large quantity of straw, and agricultural machinery, measuring approximately 20 metres x 10 metres. Crews are dealing with the fire using 45mm hoses, and water curtains which are protecting adjacent properties. Local residents are advised to keep doors and windows closed at this time due to large amounts of smoke from the incident.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police.

Fire involving one four bay agricultural barn containing approximately 100 tonnes of straw fully involved in fire. Crews using hose reel jets, and main jets to extinguish the fire, as well as protecting surrounding buildings.
