A neighbour was alterted to a smoke alarm activating and after investigating saw flames through the window and raised the alarm. The fire had been caused by an iron left switched on, crews gained access to the property using a short extention ladder. 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel jet and a thermal image camera were used.
