Fire Services National Benevolent Fund's Car Wash day

Firefighters raise fund for the Fire Services National Benvolent Fund

On Saturday 8th March 2008 it was the Fire Services National Benevolent Fund's 'Car Wash' day. This is a national event with staff from fire stations across the country washing cars to raise funds for the FSNBF.

At Tweedale Fire Station the event was once again supported and a total of £265.21 was raised.

A big thank you to Ff Mick Hill and his partner Laura who were the main organizers. Also thanks to Amber Watch who freely gave their time throughout the day. They were supported by members of Blue watch, the duty Watch.

As can be seen from the pictures there were a variety of vehicles both large and small to be washed. I would like to thank the members of the public who kindly supported the event and gave so generously.
