On Saturday 17 November firefighters from Ludlow fire station and members of staff from Ludlow branch of Barclays Bank held a car wash at Harry Tuffins in Sheet Road, Ludlow.

This was in aid of the Warwickshire Firefighters Families Fund and also the Fire Services National Benevolent Fund.

The total raised on the day was a marvellous £1,013.79 to which Barclays Bank promised to donate an extra £750. This added up to a soap sudding total of £1763.79, with £881.89 going to each charity.

Ludlow firefighters would like to thank Harry Tuffins for the venue of the car wash and also to Barclays Bank for all their help and their generous donation.

Many thanks also to other local businesses and members of the public who helped and supported this very successful fund raising event.
