At 17:37 on Monday, 17 February, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Salway Arms Hotel, Station Road, Woofferton.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Ludlow.

Fire involving deep fat fryer which was out on arrival of fire crew. Ground floor heavily smokelogged and fire crew used positive pressure ventilation system to clear the smoke.
