On the 24th and 26th April Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service and Road Safety Partners Shropshire County Council Road Safety Team will be delivering a road safety education programme to over 400 students who attend both Walford College Baschurch and North College, Oswestry. All students attending the programme fall into our most at risk group consisting of 16 to 25 year olds.

The final of this year?s county fire quiz organised by Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service will take place at Telford Fire Station on Tuesday, 24 April 2007.

Tina Grindley, Human Resources Officer, and Tony Barnes, Fire Safety Officer will be at the event to answer any questions you have about fire safety and recruitment.

The day will consist of 2 sessions lasting 1.5 hours incorporating a practical demonstration and an opportunity to learn more about the day-to-day work the emergency services carry out in the community. more
The Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service annual Long Service and Good Conduct Medal Ceremony will be held at Shrewsbury Fire Station on Wednesday 21 March, 2007.
Medals will be presented to Fire Service personnel by the Lord Lieutenant of Shropshire, A E Heber-Percy.

An evening of road safety advice and demonstrations will be held at Bridgnorth Fire Station on Wednesday 30 April.
The aim of the session is to raise awareness of the consequences of drink and drug driving, speeding, seatbelts, passenger safety and pier pressures to a wide range of motorists including learner and newly passed drivers as well as those who are more experienced.
