At 08:50 on Sunday, 27 November, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as House Fire in Prees,.

4 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform were mobilised from Prees and Whitchurch. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Chimney rods
• Hosereel jet
• Short extension ladder

Small fire in roof space caused by log burner. Crews are removing some of the cavity insulation to carry out a thorough inspection. Chimney gear, short extension ladders, 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel jet in use.

3 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform were mobilised from Cleobury Mortimer, Ludlow and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Covering jet
• Hosereel jet
• Short extension ladder
• Thermal imaging camera

Fire involving roof space of mid terraced stone built cottage which has spread to a 1st floor bedroom. Aerial Ladder Platform in use stripping away and exposing beams of roof. Gas and electricity isolated by Fire Service Personnel.

At 02:13 on Saturday, 24 September, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire Commercial in Shawbury.

13 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform, the Incident Command Unit, the Incident Support Unit, the Light Pumping Unit and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Baschurch, Craven Arms, Hodnet, Oswestry, Shrewsbury, Telford and Wem. Operations, Hazmat and Safety officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet
• Main jet

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Environment Agency and the Police.

Fire involving building 100m x 80m 4 Hose Reel Jets 3 Main Jets and Breathing Apparatus for comfort. Approximately 70 personnel have been in attendance.

At 14:23 on Tuesday, 20 September, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Animal Rescue in Ironbridge.

1 fire appliance including the Aerial Ladder Platform was mobilised from Shrewsbury.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the RSPCA.

We were requested by the RSPCA to attend a cat stuck on a 3 storey high chimney. Crews used the aerial ladder platform to access the chimney and successfully rescue the cat which was returned to its owner.

2 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform were mobilised from Cleobury Mortimer and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera
• Triple/Short extension ladder

Involving Rayburn and chimney in a private dwelling, smoke is present in the loft space. Thermal Imaging Camera, short extension ladder and one hose reel jet in use. Aerial ladder platform also sent due to difficult access.

• Main jet

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service .

Fire involving whole of 3 storey domestic property, approx. 5m x 10m, six breathing apparatus, main jets and hose reel jets in use. All persons are now accounted for. Damping down in progress.

11 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform, the Foam Pod, the Incident Command Unit, the Light Pumping Unit, the Prime Mover and the Welfare Unit were mobilised from Baschurch, Much Wenlock, Newport, Prees, Shrewsbury, Telford Central, Tweedale and Wellington. Operations, Hazmat and Safety officers were in attendance.

Fire involving maintenance store 12x8m, 4 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reel jets and 1 covering jet in use. Fire now under control and appliances being scaled down.

6 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform and the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Shrewsbury, Telford Central, Tweedale and Wellington. Operations and Specialist Advisor officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Covering jet
• Hosereel jet

Fire in cavity wall of two storey domestic property, crews used a snake eye camera to inspect the cavity and internal frame, now no sign of further burning, crews remaining for some time to monitor
