At 14:55 on Saturday, 23 July, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Shifnal.

4 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform were mobilised from Shrewsbury, Telford Central and Tweedale. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Roof fire involving roofing materials left by contractors in single storey brick school building. 1 hose reel jet and thermal imaging camera in use.

At 09:41 on Friday, 6 May, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Collapse Of Structures in Hinstock.

13 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform, the Incident Command Unit, the Incident Support Unit, the Rescue Tender and the Welfare Unit were mobilised from Hodnet, Market Drayton, Much Wenlock, Oswestry, Prees, Shrewsbury, Telford Central, Tweedale, Wellington and Wem. Operations, Hazmat and Safety officers were in attendance.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

One high bay warehouse approximately 60m x 20m suffering internal and external collapse, there is currently 1 person unaccounted for, search of building being carried out by fire service personnel using equipment including a snake eye camera. National Urban Search and Rescue teams including dogs are assisting with search. Casualty has been located and is alive and appears to be not badly injured. Fire Service crews and medical teams are in contact with the casualty and rescue operations are ongoing. 1 male casualty now rescued by Fire Service Personnel and HART team via safe passageway created by Urban Search And Rescue team and Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service personnel.

5 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform were mobilised from Shrewsbury and Wellington.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police and a vet.

RTC involving Landrover vehicle and livestock trailer with cattle inside overturned on roadway. Fire service crews made vehicles safe and Fire Service animal rescue team assisted with transfer of 4 cows to a second trailer.

5 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform were mobilised from Cleobury Mortimer, Craven Arms, Ludlow and Shrewsbury. Operations and Fire Investigation officers were in attendance.

Fire involving first floor and roof space of first floor flat. 4 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reel jet, 1 covering jet, 9 meter ladder and Aerial Ladder Platform were used to extinguish fire and make property safe.

Animal Rescue

At 15:12 on Monday, 21 March, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Animal Rescue in Bridgnorth .

3 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform and the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Bridgnorth and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Fire Service crews assisted the RSPCA to rescue a Peregrine Falcon which had become stuck behind reinforced mesh wire. Police closed the road to allow the Aerial Ladder Platform to be set up and crews released the bird which is now in the care of the RSPCA.
