At 22:21 on Thursday, 29 August, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Oswestry.

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Ellesmere and Oswestry. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Covering jet
• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

Single storey building of wooden construction approximately 10 metres x 10 metres fully involved in fire. All persons accounted for. Crews wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using using two hose reel jets and one covering jet. Assistance from Mid and West Wales Fire Service.

At 18:35 on Friday, 16 August, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting that a Road Traffic Collision had taken place in Oswestry.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Ellesmere.

Crews used the following equipment to deal with the incident:

• Environment agency equipment
• Small gear

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

RTC involving 2 cars which have both been made electrically safe. Fluid and debris on the road has been contained using environment grab packs and highways have been notified in order to deal with fuel spill. Casualties in care of paramedics. Incident left with Police.
