2 fire appliances were mobilised from Ellesmere and Wem. An Operations officer was in attendance.
Fire involving one caravan within field 100% alight. Fire crews used 2 hose reel jets to extinguish fire. Crews also used thermal image camera.

At 13:12 on Saturday, 27 December, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Market Drayton.
8 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform and the Incident Command Unit were mobilised from Hodnet, Market Drayton, Prees, Shrewsbury, Wem and Whitchurch. Operations, Safety and Principal officers were in attendance.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Breathing Apparatus (BA)
- Hosereel jet
- Triple/Short extension ladder
Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police.
Building fire involving open fire. A total of 20 breathing apparatus, 3 hosereel jets, 1 covering jet, one 13.5m ladder, drone and Aerial ladder platform have been in use. All persons accounted for.

At 01:00 on Sunday, 21 December, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Property Fire in Markeyt Drayton.
2 fire appliances were mobilised from Hodnet and Market Drayton.
On arrival of crews they found this to be a smoke logged flat, crews ventilated the property and found this to be caused by fumes from cooking

Most kitchen fires occur when people are distracted or leave things unattended.
- Never use a toaster under a shelf or kitchen cupboard - pull it out from under the cupboard when in use.
- Don't hang wet or damp tea towels on the cooker to dry.
- Dirty grill pans and ovens cause fires. Help keep them clean.
- When using a microwave read the cooking instructions carefully, ensure you don't put in any metal objects.
- Kettles can cause serious burns from the steam, make sure you don't lean over the kettle when it'.s boiling.
