At 02:50 on Friday, 14 August, 2020, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as House Fire Persons Reported in Shrewsbury .

6 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform were mobilised from Shrewsbury and Telford Central. Operations, Fire Investigation and Safety officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• 9/10.5m ladder
• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Covering jet
• Main jet
• Thermal imaging camera

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

5 fire appliances including the Light Pumping Unit and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Baschurch, Hodnet, Oswestry, Prees, Shrewsbury, Wellington and Whitchurch. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Main jet

Fire involving approximately 30 tonnes of hay, straw and several items of various farm machinery within an agricultural building. Dragging out and damping down in progress.

At 22:43 on Sunday, 31 May, 2020, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire in Telford.

12 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform, the Incident Command Unit and the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Albrighton, Bridgnorth, Church Stretton, Craven Arms, Hodnet, Much Wenlock, Newport, Prees, Shrewsbury, Telford Central, Tweedale, Wellington and Wem. Operations, Safety and Principal officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Main jet

Also at the scene of the incident were: a doctor, the Environment Agency, the Police, Telford and Wrekin Council and a utility company.

Crews are dealing with a large fire involving large quantity of pallets which has spread to two adjacent buildings. This incident has 12 fire engines in attendance together with command support unit and aerial ladder platform. The incident has been sectorised to 4 sectors to bring the fire under control.
