At 17:34 on Wednesday, 14 June, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Barn Fire in Baschurch.
3 fire appliances including the Light Pumping Unit and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Baschurch, Bridgnorth and Shrewsbury. Operations and Hazmat officers were in attendance.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Breathing Apparatus (BA)
- Covering jet
- Hosereel jet
One barn approx 20m x 20m alight. 70 tonnes of Hay and 7 tonnes of Fertilizer involved.

At 20:09 on Monday, 12 June, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Barn Fire in Shrewsbury.
3 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform, the Light Pumping Unit, the Rescue Tender, the Water Carrier and the Welfare Unit were mobilised from Minsterley, Shrewsbury and Wellington. Operations and Fire Investigation officers were in attendance.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Breathing Apparatus (BA)
- Hosereel jet
- Main jet
Also at the scene of the incident were: a utility company.
This incident involved a barn building of brick and timber construction approx 25m x 25m. Crews used 6 breathing apparatus, 4 main jets and 2 hose reel jets to extinguish. The Aerial Ladder attended to reinspect the property.
