At 12:02 on Monday, 7 December, 2015, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Minsterley.

4 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform, the Incident Command Unit and the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Minsterley, Shrewsbury, Telford Central and Tweedale. Operations, Hazmat and Safety officers were in attendance.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police.

Large fire in commercial building 10m x 40m 1 main jet 1 hose reel jet 2 breathing apparatus used to extinguish fire, crews remain, damping down hotspots and making area safe

4 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Ellesmere and Oswestry. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Air Ambulance and the Police.

Road Traffic Collision- 2 persons extricated from vehicle by fire service personnel using Holmatro cutting equipment .

RTC HGV Persons Trapped

A5 Mile End Roundabout Oswestry

At 18:28 on Wednesday, 25 November, 2015, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as RTC HGV Persons Trapped in Oswestry.

3 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit and the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Oswestry and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Highways Agency, the Police, the RSPCA and a vet.

Road Traffic Collision involving one large goods vehicle which has tipped on its side and come to rest on carriageway. No persons trapped, one male conveyed to hospital via land Ambulance. Approximately 500 sheep from overturned lorry transferred onto awaiting livestock lorries. 4 hose reel jets, and environment grab pack used to stem diesel leaking from tank.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet

Also at the scene of the incident were: the British Red Cross Fire and Emergency Support Service (FESS) , the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

Crews have been called to a fire involving a bed in a domestic ground floor flat. Shropshire is being assisted by Staffordshire with an appliance from Loggerheads. Two breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel jet, 1 covering jet and positive pressure ventilation in use.
