At 17:05 on Saturday, 21 May, 2022, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Water Rescue in Bridgnorth.

5 fire appliances including the Incident Command Unit, the Incident Support Unit and the Water Rescue Unit were mobilised from Bridgnorth, Much Wenlock, Newport, Shrewsbury and Tweedale. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

Water rescue from river. Casualty retrieved from lake before Fire Service arrival.
