At 21:59 on Thursday, 4 February, 2021, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Water Rescue in Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances including the Water Rescue Unit were mobilised from Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

Reports of male in the water. One male rescued from water by swift water rescue team. Casualty was left in the care of ambulance.

5 fire appliances including the Incident Command Unit and the Water Rescue Unit were mobilised from Bridgnorth, Cleobury Mortimer, Shrewsbury and Tweedale. An Operations officer was in attendance.

This incident involved the rescue of a female from the river who was left in the care of the Ambulance.

Two adults and a french bulldog, called Teddy, were safely rescued from the first floor of flooded property using a boat, rope rescue equipment, and one short extension ladder.

One 26yr old male rescued from water by water first responders, using 9m ladder. Casualty transported to hospital via land Ambulance.
