At 02:33 on Sunday, 1 January, 2017, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Barn Fire in Wellington.

6 fire appliances including the Heavy Pumping Unit, the Rescue Tender and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Bridgnorth, Shrewsbury, Telford Central and Wellington. Operations, Hazmat and Fire Investigation officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Main jet

2 storey stable block fully involved in fire, 2 main jets in use

5 fire appliances including the Light Pumping Unit and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Bridgnorth and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews were called to reports of a barn fire, this is believed to be a false alarm caused by a controlled burning.

At 03:25 on Saturday, 5 November, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Barn Fire in Nr. Telford.

7 fire appliances including the Incident Command Unit, the Light Pumping Unit and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Bridgnorth, Cleobury Mortimer, Ellesmere, Hodnet, Much Wenlock, Oswestry, Prees, Shrewsbury, Wellington and Whitchurch. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Main jet
• Open water supply
• Portable pump

Fire involving the contents on one barn containing farm machinery and timber which is well well alight. 4 main jets in use. This is a protracted incident with 4 crews in attendance. Crews using water supplied from local open water source and from hydrants. No further details at this time.

Fire involving open sided dutch barn in a field, measuing approximately 15 x 9 metres. One hose reel jet to damp down surrounding area and drag rakes in use.

Barn approximately 25m x 50m, containing 250 bales of hay smouldering. Hay being removed using farm machinery, two hose reel jets, one covering jet

Fire involving small shed - single storey - approximately 6m x 4m, containing 40 bales of hay. One hose reel jet, 1 jet, 1 covering jet, draghooks and forks in use.
