At 10:38 on Friday, 30 June, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Barn Fire in Bridgnorth.

4 fire appliances including the Incident Command Unit, the Light Pumping Unit and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Bridgnorth, Craven Arms, Much Wenlock, Shrewsbury, Telford Central and Tweedale. Operations and Safety officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Main jet

1 barn containing hay fully involved in fire. Crews using hose reel jets and main jets to extinguish.

6 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform and the Incident Command Unit were mobilised from Ellesmere, Oswestry, Shrewsbury and Tweedale. Operations, Fire Investigation, Safety and Principal officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Covering jet
• Hosereel jet

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

5 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform, the Incident Command Unit, the Incident Support Unit, the Light Pumping Unit and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Baschurch, Bridgnorth, Hodnet, Market Drayton, Shrewsbury, Telford and Whitchurch. Operations, Hazmat and Safety officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet

Also at the scene of the incident were: a utility company.

One barn measuring 80 m x 50m involved in fire. Crews using aerial ladder platform to assist with extinguishing the fire. Western Power also in attendance at incident.

5 fire appliances including the Incident Command Unit, the Incident Support Unit and the Light Pumping Unit were mobilised from Baschurch, Church Stretton, Craven Arms, Shrewsbury and Telford Central. Operations and Safety officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Beaters
• Hosereel jet

This incident involves an area of gorse measuring approximately 300 - 400 metres squared. A number of hose reel jets and beaters are in use to extinguish the fire.
