At 03:00 on Wednesday, 22 October, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Water Rescue in Ellesmere.
3 fire appliances including the Incident Command Unit and the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Baschurch, Ellesmere and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.
Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service .
One male suffering medical episode on embankment, crews used the boat to bring casualty to safety.

6 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform, the Incident Command Unit and the Welfare Unit were mobilised from Baschurch, Church Stretton, Minsterley, Shrewsbury and Telford Central. Operations, Safety and Principal officers were in attendance.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Breathing Apparatus (BA)
- Hosereel jet
- Main jet
- Thermal imaging camera
Also at the scene of the incident were: the Highways Agency, the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

6 fire appliances including the Incident Command Unit were mobilised from Albrighton, Newport, Telford, Tweedale and Wellington. Operations and Safety officers were in attendance.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Breathing Apparatus (BA)
- Hosereel jet
- Positive Pressure Ventilation
Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police.
Fire involving ground floor kitchen of public house. Six breathing apparatus, two main jets, three hose reel jets and two positive pressure ventilation fans in use.

5 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform and the Incident Command Unit were mobilised from Baschurch, Ellesmere, Oswestry, Shrewsbury and Telford Central. Operations, Safety and Principal officers were in attendance.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- 9/10.5m ladder
- Breathing Apparatus (BA)
- Hosereel jet
- Positive Pressure Ventilation
- Thermal imaging camera
Incident involving fire within school building. Crews used hose reel jets to extinguish the fire and wore breathing apparatus. Positive Pressure Ventilation fans have also been used to clear smoke and thermal imaging camera used to check for hot spots. Crews continuing to dampen down the area.

7 fire appliances including the Incident Command Unit, the Incident Support Unit and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Bridgnorth, Newport, Prees, Shrewsbury, Tweedale and Wellington. Operations, Safety and Principal officers were in attendance.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Breathing Apparatus (BA)
- Hosereel jet
- Main jet
Fire involving approximately 250m x 50m of trees and undergrowth. Crews used 2 main jets, 2 45mm jets, 2 breathing apparatus' and fogging unit from Incident Support Unit. Drone has also been launched to look for hot spots. Water carrier from Bridgnorth utilised to ferry water to incident.

12 fire appliances including the Incident Command Unit and the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Baschurch, Bishops Castle, Bridgnorth, Church Stretton, Craven Arms, Minsterley, Oswestry, Shrewsbury, Telford Central, Tweedale and Wellington. Operations, Fire Investigation, Safety and Principal officers were in attendance.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Beaters
- Hosereel jet
20 Hectares of field alight. Beaters and hose reel jets used to extinguish. Drone utilised to check for further fire spread. Assistance given from neighboring brigade Mid and West Wales.

13 fire appliances including the Incident Command Unit, the Incident Support Unit, the Light Pumping Unit and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Bridgnorth, Craven Arms, Market Drayton, Newport, Shrewsbury, Telford Central and Tweedale. Operations, Safety, Principal and Specialist Advisor officers were in attendance.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Beaters
- Hosereel jet
- Shovels/Forks/Brooms
Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police.
Incident involves approximately 2 hectares of grass. Crews have extinguished fire and utilised use of the drone to check area for hot spots and fire spread. Assistance given by Staffordshire Fire & Rescue Service and Hereford & Worcester Fire & Rescue Service.

2 fire appliances including the Incident Command Unit, the Incident Support Unit and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Baschurch, Bridgnorth, Newport, Telford Central and Tweedale. Operations, Principal and Specialist Advisor officers were in attendance.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Hosereel jet
- Main jet
Also at the scene of the incident were: Telford and Wrekin Council.
Fire involving an area of trees and undergrowth on the Wrekin measuring approximately 20 meters by 15 meters. Crews have extinguished the fire using hose reel jets and main jets supplied by water from the water bowser. Assistance provided by local farmer and landowners. Fire service drone used to assess affected areas and thermal imaging cameras used to monitor temperatures. West Midlands Search and Rescue team alongside Telford & Wrekin Council have been in attendance to alert the public to hazards.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Breathing Apparatus (BA)
- Covering jet
- Hosereel jet
Two agricultural buildings alight. Crews wearing breathing apparatus have been using hose reel jets to extinguish the fire, and prevent fire spread to adjacent buildings.

This incident was approximately 80m x 50m of grass and hedgerow on fire, crews used hosereel jets and beaters to extinguish the fire.
