At 19:29 on Saturday, 9 September, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Water Rescue in Shrewsbury.
4 fire appliances including the Incident Command Unit, the Incident Support Unit and the Water Rescue Unit were mobilised from Minsterley, Shrewsbury, Tweedale and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.
Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.
One person did not enter the water and was left in the care of the Police and Ambulance.

Request from Police to assist with possible water rescue. Male did not enter water and no fire service action was required.

Reports of possible male entering water at Welsh Bridge. Male was located and had not entered the water and was left in the care of ambulance.

6 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform and the Incident Command Unit were mobilised from Newport, Shrewsbury, Telford Central, Tweedale and Wellington. Operations and Safety officers were in attendance.
Crews dealing with a house fire within a row of terraced properties. Eight breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets, two main jets and the aerial ladder platform in use.

4 fire appliances including the Incident Command Unit and the Pinzgauer were mobilised from Church Stretton, Craven Arms, Much Wenlock and Wellington. Operations and Hazmat officers were in attendance.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Breathing Apparatus (BA)
- Hosereel jet
1 private light aircraft 80% destroyed by fire after landing. 1 casualty treated for minor cuts by Fire Service personnel.

6 fire appliances including the Incident Command Unit, the Light Pumping Unit and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Hodnet, Market Drayton, Shrewsbury, Tweedale, Wem and Whitchurch. An Operations officer was in attendance.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Breathing Apparatus (BA)
- Hosereel jet
- Main jet
Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.
Crews were called to reports of a large outbuilding/barn on fire. Fire involved 2 outbuildings and several vehicles.

Crews called to person unable to get out of water by The Iron Bridge at Ironbridge. 1 person pulled from river by Police and in care of ambulance crews. No action required by Fire Service upon arrival to incident.
