At 04:59 on Saturday, 19 July, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Shrewsbury.
5 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform and the Incident Command Unit were mobilised from Baschurch, Bridgnorth, Shrewsbury, Telford, Telford Central, Tweedale, Wellington and Wem.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Breathing Apparatus (BA)
- Hosereel jet
- Main jet
This incident is a large building fire which involved 80 ton of waste materials, crews are using 4 breathing apparatus and 2 main jets to extinguish the fire, the drone is also in use.

At 01:18 on Sunday, 13 July, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Barn Fire in Wem.
4 fire appliances including the Incident Command Unit, the Light Pumping Unit and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Hodnet, Prees, Shrewsbury, Telford, Wem and Whitchurch.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Breathing Apparatus (BA)
- Hosereel jet
- Main jet
This was a barn fire approximately 80m x 20m and had spread to adjacent buildings which set alight by an electrical fault.

This incident consisted of approximately 1 acre of grass and undergrowth on fire, crews used 2 hosereel jets to extinguish.

This incident involved suspected arcing of electric lines causing concern that this may affect nearby trees. Crews dampened down area as a precaution.

At 17:36 on Thursday, 3 July, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Minsterley.
6 fire appliances including the Incident Command Unit and the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Bishops Castle, Clun, Craven Arms, Ludlow and Shrewsbury. Operations, Safety and Specialist Advisor officers were in attendance.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Hosereel jet
- Main jet
- Thermal imaging camera
Large incident involving 500 meters by 200 meters of grass and gorge alight. Crews have used main jets, hose reel jets and fogging units to extinguish and control the spread of fire. Crews also operated a drone to asses the scale and spread of fire. Crews have been checking areas for hotspots using a thermal imaging camera.

8 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform and the Incident Command Unit were mobilised from Albrighton, Shrewsbury, Telford Central, Tweedale and Wellington. Operations, Hazmat and Safety officers were in attendance.
Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police.
This incident was found to be an issue with a refrigeration pack on the roof, with no fire involved. Inspection only. Incident left with contractors.

This incident involves the remains of a wooden chalet approx 6 x 6m. Crews extinguished using 1 x extended hose reel just and drag rakes to turn over.

Barn and workshop involved in fire. Crews have removed hazardous items from the area and are currently using hosereel jets, main jets and curtain sprayers to prevent further fire spread.
