At 15:42 on Thursday, 22 July, 2021, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Barn Fire in Bishops Castle.

6 fire appliances including the Light Pumping Unit, the Water Carrier and the Welfare Unit were mobilised from Bishops Castle, Bridgnorth, Clun, Craven Arms, Shrewsbury and Telford Central. Operations, Safety and Principal officers were in attendance.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police.

Bales of hay in barn on fire. Two hose reel jets, two main jets used to extinguish fire and thermal imaging camera also in use.

At 18:33 on Wednesday, 23 June, 2021, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Market Drayton .

6 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform, the Incident Command Unit, the Incident Support Unit and the Welfare Unit were mobilised from Hodnet, Market Drayton, Newport, Prees and Whitchurch. Operations and Safety officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• 13.5m ladder
• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Electric Saws/Cutters
• Hosereel jet
• Main jet
• Small gear
• Thermal imaging camera

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

6 fire appliances including the Incident Command Unit, the Rescue Tender, the Water Carrier and the Welfare Unit were mobilised from Hodnet, Market Drayton, Newport, Telford and Wellington. Operations and Safety officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet
• Main jet

Barn fire involving straw and manitou machine. Fire crew used 3 hose reel jets, 6 breathing apparatus, 3 x 45mm jets and 3 improvised monitors.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Covering jet
• Hosereel jet

Fire in large storage unit, 4 Breathing Apparatus, 2 Hose Reel Jets, 1 Covering jet, Aerial Ladder Platform, and six pumps in attendance, including two pumps from adjoining brigades.

Large fire affecting the whole of the recycling site, approximately 100 metres x 100 metres, being dealt with by a number of fire crews.

4 fire appliances including the Water Carrier and the Welfare Unit were mobilised from Baschurch, Newport, Oswestry and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet
• Main jet

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police.

Fire involving one agricultural building measuring approximately 75 metres x 60 metres. Building contains 150 tonnes of hay and 25 tonnes loose grass. Crews using 2 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reel jets, and 2 main jets to extinguish the fire.
