At 01:20 on Wednesday, 24 August, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Factory Fire in Telford .
11 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform, the Foam Pod, the Incident Command Unit, the Light Pumping Unit, the Prime Mover and the Welfare Unit were mobilised from Baschurch, Much Wenlock, Newport, Prees, Shrewsbury, Telford Central, Tweedale and Wellington. Operations, Hazmat and Safety officers were in attendance.
Fire involving maintenance store 12x8m, 4 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reel jets and 1 covering jet in use. Fire now under control and appliances being scaled down.

At 09:41 on Friday, 6 May, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Collapse Of Structures in Hinstock.
13 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform, the Incident Command Unit, the Incident Support Unit, the Rescue Tender and the Welfare Unit were mobilised from Hodnet, Market Drayton, Much Wenlock, Oswestry, Prees, Shrewsbury, Telford Central, Tweedale, Wellington and Wem. Operations, Hazmat and Safety officers were in attendance.
Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.
One high bay warehouse approximately 60m x 20m suffering internal and external collapse, there is currently 1 person unaccounted for, search of building being carried out by fire service personnel using equipment including a snake eye camera. National Urban Search and Rescue teams including dogs are assisting with search. Casualty has been located and is alive and appears to be not badly injured. Fire Service crews and medical teams are in contact with the casualty and rescue operations are ongoing. 1 male casualty now rescued by Fire Service Personnel and HART team via safe passageway created by Urban Search And Rescue team and Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service personnel.

At 21:22 on Tuesday, 2 February, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Telford .
6 fire appliances including the Light Pumping Unit and the Welfare Unit were mobilised from Albrighton, Newport, Shrewsbury, Telford, Telford Central, Tweedale, Wellington and Wem. Operations, Hazmat and Principal officers were in attendance.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Ground monitor
- Main jet
Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police.
Large External Fire involving large quantity of wood and embers being spread over surrounding area. Acetylene cylinders involved. Currently 40+ Fire Fighters In attendance. Area now sectorised - 8 main jets in use and ground monitors. 200 meter cordon in place. Police in attendance and liaising with local residents. UPDATE 05:45: 3 Fire Engines still in attendance - good progress still being made - ground monitor still in use and covering acetylene cylinder - temperature checks being carried out every 20minutes. Site Machinery being used to break down timber stacks to help damp down the area. Fire Investigation will attend first thing.

Property Fire

At 05:11 on Monday, 18 May, 2015, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Alveley.
10 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform, the Light Pumping Unit and the Welfare Unit were mobilised from Bridgnorth, Cleobury Mortimer, Shrewsbury, Telford Central and Tweedale. Operations, Hazmat and Safety officers were in attendance.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Hosereel jet
- Main jet
Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police.
The service is currently dealing with a derelict hotel fire with 8 fire engines plus additional supporting fire engines and officers. Numerous calls were received to the incident with smoke visible from more than a mile away.

Area Manager Andy Johnson said: "The Service is currently dealing with a large fire involving a disused hotel in the Birdsgreen area of Alveley, South Shropshire. The building is approximately 90x50m in size and consists of 3 floors, with the whole of the building involved in the fire. The Service has received a number of calls from the area, due to smoke being visible from a number of miles away."

At 18:58 on Monday, 27 October, 2014, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Barn Fire in Oswestry.
5 fire appliances including the Incident Command Unit, the Light Pumping Unit, the Water Carrier and the Welfare Unit were mobilised from Baschurch, Ellesmere, Oswestry, Prees, Shrewsbury and Telford Central.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Covering jet
- Main jet
Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police.
1 barn approximately 30m x 50m involved in fire and 1 LGV and 1 saloon car destroyed by fire. 5 main jets in use.

At 17:58 on Tuesday, 2 September, 2014, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Barn Fire in Cleobury Mortimer.
6 fire appliances including the Heavy Pumping Unit, the Incident Command Unit, the Water Carrier and the Welfare Unit were mobilised from Bridgnorth, Cleobury Mortimer, Craven Arms, Ludlow and Tweedale.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Covering jet
- Hosereel jet
- Main jet
- Open water supply
- Strategically located water tanks
Barn fire
The stop message was received at Wed, 09/03/2014 - 03:32
SM Blizard said: "Crews attended a barn fire in Oreton, Cleobury Mortimer at 17:58 today. On arrival it was found to be a 6 bay open sided barn involving 400 tonnes of baled hay. Five fire engines including 2 from Hereford & Worcester and 3 from Shropshire, attended along with the water carrier from Bridgnorth, heavy pumping unit form Craven Arms, FAST safety team from Telford and 3 operational officers from Shrewsbury. Crews used 3 water curtain sprays, 2 main jets and 1 hose reel jet to protect surrounding buildings and nearby storage of hay bales, using water from a nearby hydrant and a 8500L dam from the water carrier. Crews are currently still in attendance monitoring this incident and protecting surrounding buildings. SM Blizard who was the officer in charge predicts that crews will be on scene for the next 24 hours. Police and Fire are investigating the cause of the fire."
