About our Contracts Register
The Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) Contracts Register provides information about contractual arrangements entered into by the Service.
Publishing this information supports our commitment to transparency and accountability in public procurement and helps suppliers and members of the public understand how SFRS contracts for goods, services and works.
The register may also help suppliers understand our existing contractual arrangements and identify potential future opportunities.
What information is included?
The Contracts Register may include information such as:
- Contract title and description
- Supplier
- Contract start and end dates
- Contract value
- Contract or arrangement type
- Extension or review information, where applicable
The information available will depend on the individual contractual arrangement and applicable publication requirements.
Keeping the register up to date
The Contracts Register is maintained and reviewed by SFRS as part of our procurement and contract management arrangements.
While reasonable efforts are made to ensure that published information is accurate and current, contractual arrangements may change over time, including through permitted extensions, variations or other changes.
Procurement transparency
SFRS publishes procurement and contract information in accordance with applicable transparency requirements.
Under the Procurement Act 2023, certain information about contracts is also published through the central digital platform, including contract details notices where applicable. Government guidance confirms that a contract details notice informs suppliers and the public that a contracting authority has entered into a contract and provides key information about that contract.
Future opportunities
The Contracts Register provides information about existing contractual arrangements but should not be treated as confirmation that a contract will be re-procured when it expires.
Suppliers interested in future opportunities with SFRS should monitor our published procurement opportunities and Procurement Pipeline.
Data and accuracy
The Contracts Register is provided for transparency and information purposes. Information such as contract values, expiry dates and extension arrangements may change during the life of a contract.
