How to apply

The Wholetime Firefighter recruitment campaign has now CLOSED

Thank you to everyone who applied. We have received an extremely high number of applications for a very limited number of firefighter positions, making the competition extremely tough this year.

However, the application process is now completed and we are in the process of inviting successful applicants to the job-related tests directly by email. If you haven’t received an email by 23 December 2020 then you have not been successful and your application is now closed.

Due to the exceptionally high volume of applicants, we are unable to give individual feedback. We wish all our applicants every success with future career decisions and hope that you decide to apply again in the future.

Our website has lots of useful resources which is continually being updated and if you would like to support the Service, you may wish to consider becoming an on-call firefighter.

Throughout the process please check your emails daily, including trash/spam folders for instructions as to when and how to access the various stages. We need to adhere to a strict timetable and if you miss an email it is your responsibility and we will not extend deadlines under any circumstances.

In the unlikely event that you encounter any technical/log in issues for any of the online assessments it is essential to let us know prior to that stage of the assessment closing to Applicant.support@hrsolutionshub.co.uk. Failure to do so will terminate your application process.

A candidate information pack is available here. Please ensure you read through this booklet carefully before applying as it contains all the relevant details of the campaign.

Please note, there is a strict timetable for applying and undertaking different stages please see table below regarding the online stages. These dates are set, cannot be changed and no alternative dates can be offered. Dates for job related tests (physical tests) are contained within the booklet, dates for further stages will be made available once confirmed.
