Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service was called at 3.35am to reports of a fire in a care home in Oswestry.

Crews from Ellesmere, Oswestry, Shrewsbury and Tweedale attended and found the fire was in the roof space of the building. All residents and staff were safe an accounted for and firefighters began tackling the blaze and safely evacuating the premises.
